Fellowships, Assistantships and Scholarships

Fellowships, assistantships and scholarships are awarded in the spring semester for the following fall. Selection is based on the information submitted in the application for the OT master's program.

Program of Research and Scholarly Excellence Fellowship

This fellowship is awarded to a first year student enrolling in Occupational Therapy . Two fellowships are awarded for one year (nonrenewable) on the basis of academic merit. All recipients are simultaneously appointed to a .25 teaching assistantship (10 hours per week). All awardees must meet the following criteria:

Approximate amounts in a package would be as follows:

3F Fellowship $ 7,500

Teaching assistantship $ 6,165

Half tuition remission

College of Applied Human Sciences Fellowship

This fellowship is awarded to first year students enrolling in the Occupational Therapy Masters Degree Program. A graduate assistantship may be attached to this fellowship. Fellowships are awarded for one year (nonrenewable) based on application materials. The amount and number awarded varies each year. All awardees must meet the following criteria:

Durning Scholarships

Approximately four scholarships ranging between $1000-$2000 will be awarded for the 2009-2010 academic year. May be awarded to a first or second year student.

Research/Support Assistantships

Many of the faculty members employ students as research or support assistants on their grants and projects. These positions open up throughout the year and range between 5 and 20 hours per week.

AmeriCorps Scholarhip Awards

Recipients are awarded scholarships in the form of a voucher after the completion of Level II Fieldwork requirements.  Vouchers can be used for education related expenses.
